After Care and Family Support
Confidential family support and after guides couples, families, and individuals towards a life free of addiction. Ian works closely with families and couples educating and guiding them through the complexities of living with addiction and the treatment process. Once the treatment phase is completed Ian assists families in developing a personalised after care and family support package:
- Family Support is a continuum of care, beginning with pre-treatment education, support and interventions; followed up with treatment options and support; moving into post – treatment planning and after care support and coaching. Our continuum of care is evidenced based incorporating best practices principals.
- After Care incorporates post-treatment planning and care, relapse management and recovery coaching. Once the treatment phase is complete it is time for a well-planned aftercare and recovery management program. Ian liaises with your treatment provider to optimise the best possible outcome and success.
Whether you are searching for advice, education, family support, after care or recovery coaching. Ian is here to help!

Life after addiction
The process is simple. Firstly, I will need to assess your personal situation. This happens over three sessions. Once I have a full picture of your situation, I co-develop a personalised integrated recovery plan with you, that best meets your needs and goals. I then support you through the process of realising your goals. The same process is applied to couples and families.
Change happens when you become what you truly are, not when you try to be what you are not.
Understanding the stigma and sensitivity of the issues associated with active addiction and recovery. I operate a private, discreet and independent service where your confidentiality is guaranteed. Your personal information will not be shared without your prior permission.
Ian Waugh – Genuine Relating is a private practice and operates under a fee for service arrangement with my clientele. I understand the financial issues caused by the process of active addiction. Knowing this, I endeavour to deliver cost effective services while maintaining the best possible outcomes.
