Addiction counselling to help your recover | Tweed Coast
Anyone, at any stage of their life, can become addicted to a range of things: alcohol, drugs, smoking, gambling, eating disorders, shopping, sex, and work. Addiction is often used as a coping method for people; a way of dealing with a painful past (or present) situation that they don’t want to face.
Through life experiences, I understand the complex nature of addiction and the impact they have on families and intimate relationships.
My addiction recovering counselling offers advice, education, treatment options and recovery coaching. I’m on your side, and I’m here to help you.
Working with you during counselling, we’ll design a personalised addiction recovery program that is designed to optimise the best possible outcome with ongoing success.
And I’m here for those around you too, helping couples and families deal with addiction recovery.
My aim is to empower my clients to tap into their inner wisdom and strengths, to create their own unique recovery journey and move into a well –lived life free of addiction.
Addiction recovery counselling & family support
Side effects from addiction often go beyond the person who is recovering (or suffering) from the habit. That’s why I offer a holistic approach, not only taking care of you but helping those around you.
I work closely with families and couples, educating and guiding them through the complexities of living with addiction and the treatment process. Once the treatment phase is completed, I help families develop a personalised aftercare and support package:
- Family Support is a continuum of care, beginning with pre-treatment education, support and interventions; followed up with treatment options and support; moving into post – treatment planning and after care support and coaching. This continuum of care is evidenced based incorporating best practices principals.
- After Care incorporates post-treatment planning and care, relapse management and recovery coaching. Once the treatment phase is complete it is time for a well-planned aftercare and recovery management program. I liaise with your treatment provider to optimise the best possible outcome and success.
Whether you’re searching for advice, education, family support, after care or recovery counselling, I’m here to help.
