Bridging the Barriers was founded in 2007 and operated as a successful therapeutic consulting company servicing both the human services and private sectors. In 2015 our focus turned to private practice, with a focus on addiction recovery and relationships. We are based in Banora Point NSW.
Our personal recovery programs and services have been influenced by relational gestalt therapy, contemporary spirituality and holistic recovery practices, which promote human flourishing and healing.
Grounded in self – awareness we explore how you interact with and relate to people, place and things. This deepening of awareness leads to new creative alternatives and choices around old fixed and unsatisfying ways of being: addiction and its associated behaviours.
“Change happens when you become what you truly are, not when you try to be what you are not”. Arnold Beisser
This relational perspective is embedded in the here and now and honours authentic relational engagement, promotes improved emotional wellbeing, relational wholeness and ultimately a healthy satisfying life free of addiction.
Through engaging in our proven relationship centred services couples, families and individuals will be empowered to move through their current situation into a life with improved emotional wellbeing, relational wholeness and ultimately healthier more satisfying relationships free of addiction.
